Finn Farms Chickens are pasture raised and have never experienced hormones, saline injections, or antibiotics. Ever! Finn Farms chickens are out all day feeding on nature’s best – pasture and foraged bugs and all good things that the outside has to offer – and feed from local farmers, making them tastier and more nutritious than normal. The Cornish Cross grows larger than other breeds and one chicken will feed you, your family and your guests for several days.
Rub the skin and insides of your Finn Farms Cornish Cross Chicken with your favorite oil/butter, season with salt, pepper and herbs of your choice. Stuff the inside with (cut-in-half) lemon/orange and onions, garlic, potatoes, or other vegetables that you like, place on the rack of a roasting pan and roast in a preheated 275 F to 300 F for 3 to 4 hours (until the chicken is golden brown and warmed to the minimum safe temperature (at least 165 F)). Serve the chicken immediately as a roast and pull the remainders off the bone to refrigerate and add to salads and sandwiches or serve with rice or potatoes later. Don’t stop there: use the carcass to make chicken soup. This is, indeed, the chicken that keeps giving.
